Mark Medwecki spent 33 years in the Hong Kong Police Force with extensive experience in Operations, Investigation and Training. He also spent several years developing Force IT systems and prior to leaving the force in 2010, he was head of the Hong Kong Police Crime Prevention Bureau. He has a degree in Politics from the University of Lancaster in the UK and has also passed the UK Legal Common Professional Exam as well as completing numerious professional courses.
In 2010 he joined the Aviation Security Company Limited in Hong Kong (AVSECO) after which he became a partner at the WISH AVSEC Training and Consultancy providing aviation security training and consultancy services. In 2012 he spent six months with Hopewell Holdings in HK advising the company on security and training for their property portfolio in Hong Kong. He has worked with TAPA and helped review their standards to align them with international aviation security requirements. He is a certified ICAO and IATA instructor and is recently qualified as an EU Aviation Security Independent Validator. He currently works as an independent consultant delivering aviation security training and conducting EU Aviation Security validations.
Mark Medwecki has lived in Hong Kong for most of his life and has two grown children.
